Pottery from the first firing of my big wood kiln. This past summer I built a 54 cubic foot catenary arch wood kiln here at Burnside Pottery. You really don’t know how a kiln is going to fire or if it will even successfully reach the desired temperature until you actually fire the thing. 5 months of building and making the large quantity of pots need to fill it all paid off.  It was a big relief to complete the first firing and see the amazing results.
